On 6-10 September, the organic movement will gather at the Organic World Congress 2021 (OWC 2021) to address questions around resilience, societal transformation, health and food sovereignty.
The Organic World Congress will be an occasion for us to celebrate the diversity of culture, food, seed and methodologies. Join us at the pre-conference “Seed Ambassadors – Building an International Network to Advance Organic Seed Systems“, taking place on 6-7 September 2021 in Rennes, France. The pre-conference will be organised as a hybrid event with online & in-person sessions.

Monday, 6 September:
- Field tour to INRAE/ITAB research fields and Chav’Amap farms near Rennes: using carrot and buckwheat, we will explore on-farm seed stewardship, plant breeding and culinary evaluation methodologies including first-hand degustation. A video of the field tour will be provided for online participants.
- Workshop on systems-based plant breeding
- Apéro to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of ECO-PB
Tuesday, 7 September:
Workshops (taking place in Rennes and online): through interactive and participatory sessions, we will explore 4 macro-areas:
- Advocacy, seed policy, seed legislation
- Knowledge, practises, experiences
- Networking and awareness raising
- Next generation of organic plant breeders and seed ambassadors
