BIOFACH workshop: Increasing the use of organic seed in Europe

At the organic fair in Nuremberg form 14 – 17 February LIVESEED organises a workshop on organic seed use: Thursday 15^th February 11 – 11.45h; Room Budapest.

The workshop will be co-organised by IFOAM EU (Eric Gall) and Bionext (Maaike Raaijmakers). The workshop presents diverse situations regarding organic seed use and policy in EU countries which has been analysed. The focus will be on regions where shortcomings have been identified in the organic breeding and seed sector. Speakers from Hungary (Dóra Drexler, ÖMKi), Spain (Álvaro Barrera Fernández, Ecovalia) and Greece (Kostas Koutis, Aegilops) will present their view on how to develop the organic seed sector in their country.
